SUMMARY OF JOB: Under the direction of the Accounts Receivable Manager, the Accounting Clerk is responsible for processing and recording daily bank deposits, verifying and posting details of business transactions (i.e. rates and adjustments) and researching and resolving customer payment discrepancies. This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process and record daily bank deposits.
  • Verify and post details of business transactions, such as rates, adjustments and payments.
  • Research and resolve customer payment discrepancies.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required. Preferred Associates Degree in accounting or related field preferred. Two years of accounting experience.
  • Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Excel functions.
  • Must be organized and detail oriented.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to function in a team environment.
  • Must have the ability to prioritize and manage time.

SUMMARY OF JOB:

Under the direction of the COO, the Claims Manager is responsible for managing the daily activities of the Claims Department according to department and company policies and procedures. This is a full time, exempt position. Hours are generally 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversees performance, productivity and quality standards of Claims staff.  Exhibits thorough working knowledge of medical, dental and vision claims.
  • Oversees claim inventory and production to ensure that staff meet production standards and organizational goals and adhere to all federal and state processing guidelines.
  • Oversees development of claims policies, department training materials, audit processes and monitoring tools.
  • Oversees hiring, training and terminating staff.
  • Supervises and directs the work of Claim Supervisors and Trainer.
  • Evaluates claim processes and recommends process improvements.
  • Prioritizes department tasks and delegates work assignments to accomplish department goals.
  • Oversees the claims appeals inventory and review process.
  • Resolves issues, questions and research items received from other departments.  Provides necessary reporting and recommendations to management.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associates degree (Bachelors preferred) or minimum of five years related experience in a similar position; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Working knowledge of claims payment systems.
  • Thorough understanding of CPT, HCPCS, ICD9/ICD10 and other industry coding guidelines.
  • Knowledge of terminology specific to medical, dental, and vision benefits.  Knowledge of State and Federal regulations related to the health insurance industry. (COB, Medicare, COBRA, ACA, HIPAA, etc.)

This is a full-time, exempt position. Hours are generally 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversees the training program and training content for the MBS department. 
  • Coordinates all claims system related issues and updates.
  • Manages projects for the MBS department. 
  • Supervises and directs the work of Editors, Processors and Admin staff. 
  • Oversees Policy and Procedure management. 
  • Oversees claim production to ensure that staff meets production standards. 
  • Oversees quality assessment of staff output to ensure that staff meets quality standards. 
  • Ensures that claims and adjustments are processed within the required guidelines. 
  • Monitors the claim inventory and distribution of claims.
  • Evaluates processes for improvement and supports all departmental initiatives in improving overall efficiency. 
  • Resolves issues, questions, and research items received from other departments. 
  • Develops and provides reports and makes recommendations to management.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Associates degree (Bachelors preferred) or minimum of five years related experience in a similar position; or equivalent combination of training and experience. 

SUMMARY OF JOB: Under the direction of the COO, the Mailroom Supervisor oversees and coordinates activities of clerks who open, sort, and route mail, prepare outgoing material for mailing and image documents. This is a full-time, exempt position. Hours are generally 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Supervises mailroom personnel:

  • Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules and expedites workflow.
  • Assigns duties and examines work for exactness and conformance to policies and procedures.
  • Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency. o Manages day to day operations of the mailroom.

Oversees scanning:

  • Prepares important documents including claims for scanning. Manually indexes document information.
  • Catalogues and records scanned data. Inputs data, tracks activity and retrieves information.
  • Completes quality checks of archival system for accuracy of scanned documents and makes corrections as needed. 
  • Sorts, opens, distributes, collects and prepares mail. Makes trips to the post office, delivering special mail, etc. Keeps record of registered mail and certified mail, both incoming and outgoing. 
  • Receives deliveries. Completes a receiving report for purchasing and accounting. 
  • Helps train new employees and cross train existing personnel.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED). 
  • At least 2 years experience working in an office environment.
